(Getty Images, Michael Ochs Archives)Calvin Harris has proven that he's the baddest of them all, breaking Michael Jackson's long-standing chart record as the artist to achieve the most top 10 hits from the same album.
The Scottish DJ and producer made UK chart history with "I Need Your Love," his dance floor-packing collaboration with English singer Ellie Goulding, which hit number seven on the UK charts this week.
It's the eighth song is from his album 18 Months to make it to the top 10, beating the record Jackson set with his 1987 album Badand again in 1991 with Dangerous, which each racked up seven top 10 hits. It's also the first time in the chart's 60-year history that this feat has been accomplished.
Harris took to Twitter to comment on the news, saying, "8 top 10s from my album 18 Months now! So happy!!!"
The album has sold more than 543,000 copies in the UK since it came out in October.
Harris has become a mainstay of pop and electronic music in recent years, producing several chart-topping hits and collaborating with the likes of Rihanna, Kylie Minogue, Mary J Blige and Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine. He has won a Grammy, MTV Awards and Brit Awards. He often serves as house DJ at celebrity events and just signed a contract for a 20-month residency at the new MGM Grand club Hakkasan in Las Vegas.
