Hi Francis,
When God challenged Gideon to tear down the altar
of Baal, Gideon was not sure God was choosing
the right man.
He said, "Show me a sign" (Judges 6:17). God did!
Last Wednesday I asked God to show me a sign.
I sensed He was calling me to pull down
the altar of Baal in Thailand and
"build an altar to the Lord your God
on top of this stronghold" (Judges6:26).
I wrote to you,
"I am believing God
to send in $6,000 bySaturday night."
Then I asked you to commit to praying for
my four week trip to Thailand.
Your response has been tremendous!
Over 45 of you promised to pray.
Another friend said,
"Rick, I decided to sacrifice eating out
for a month so I could give a gift that
required me to feel the cost."
As of last night we have received
commitments totaling $5,480!!!
I am confident the rest will be sent in as
God continues to speak to hearts!
There is still time for you to respond.
When Gideon received his sign, he was so shaken
that he said, "Alas, O Lord God! Now I have seen
the face of the angel of God face to face."
The Lord responded,
"Peace to you, do not fear,
you shall not die"(Judges 6:23).
I feel like Gideon! I am trembling over this sign.
God used YOU to speak tremendous words
of encouragement and peace into my heart.
"Then Gideon built (and you built this week)
an altar to the Lord and named it
'The Lord is Peace'" (Judges 6:24).
I will worship at our altar of Jehovah Shalom as
I leave home tomorrow morning at 7 am.
My traveling partner, Ben Davies, and I will fly
to Korea and do an 8 hour seminar
(and receive more prayer support
from my Korean friends)
on our way to Thailand.
Then for the rest of March I will be leading
10 evangelism-training seminars in 9 cities.
You have helped launch our three year project
to train a Gideon's army of 300 evangelism trainers
and enlist
(prayerfully) 10,000 Thai zealots
in the "new generation evangelism army."
I feel very emotionally bonded to you.

SUCH A STRONG SIGN.
Thank you for your prayer.
Thank you for your financial sacrifice.
Thank you for traveling to Thailand
with me in your spirit.
You will hear often from me.
I am going into battle with you in my heart!
We are going to Thailand together
to build an altar for the Lord Jesus Christ!!!
